Wolf Wetzel war Mitglied der ehemaligen autonomen L.U.P.U.S.-Gruppe, welche unter anderem durch die Startbahnbewegung 1980-1991, die Anti-AKW-Bewegung, die Häuserkampfbewegung und die Libertären Tage in Frankfurt a. M. 1986 geprägt war. Er ist seit 1991 journalistisch und publizistisch tätig. Zuletzt erschien 2015 sein Buch Der Rechtsstaat im Untergrund: Big Brother, der NSU-Komplex und notwendige Illoyalität im PapyRossa Verlag.
